Bright Space is a site specific painting based installation designed around the existing architectural elements and the season the installation is to be displayed. Due to the grey skies and rainy environment in which we live, Bright Space is just that, a bright space to be viewed from the street by the passerby in the late fall and winter months. By creating a large colourful abstract painting that acts as the background, and by wrapping the diagonal beam in the space with another painting, the artist explores colour, scale and the unique dimensions of the window gallery. It is her intention to bring some levity to the viewer’s day through colour and pattern.
In collaboration with Studio 531 Architects & Victoria Arts Council.
