Bio

Lucia Volker is an American artist and designer living in Canada, who explores color, pattern and repetition through a variety of mixed media techniques including painting, printmaking and installation art. Inspired by minimalism, design, and non-fine art types of painting,  Lucia has developed a wide ranging body of work shown in galleries across the United States and Canada, including ZINC Contemporary in Seattle, Art Access in Salt Lake City, Moore Art Project in Portland and Purdue University Galleries. Recent residencies include Leña Artist Research and Residency Centre on Galiano Island, BC, The Ou Gallery in Duncan, BC, and Assets for Artists Studio Residency at MASS MoCA, North Adams, MA. She earned a BFA in Printmaking from the University of Utah in 2012 and moved to Victoria, British Columbia in spring 2021. She is currently working towards a diploma in Interior Design from Pacific Design Academy.
